Costa Daurada’s offer varies from immaculate Roman ruins and the cultural treasures of Tarragona, through to the thrills of PortAventura, one of Europe’s largest theme parks.

Reus is in fact the gateway to Costa Daurada and the ancient city of Tarragona – “the balcony of the Mediterranean”. Nevertheless, at 90 kilometres to the north, the Catalan capital is still just a stone throw’s away.

Other major reasons to serve this airport

  • Close to Tarragona and just 90 kilometres from Barcelona.
  • Perfect location at the heart of the Costa Daurada.
  • Port Aventura amusement park (theme park) close to the airport.
  • The region has a number of top quality golf courses.
  • Arrivals terminal opened in June 2010, increasing overall capacity to three million passengers.

The Costa Daurada will again be the Spanish host for the Rally de Espana in October 2016, part of the global FIA World Rally Championship. Last year’s winner of the rally was Norwegian Andreas Mikkelsen (right) in his Volkswagen Polo.
