New routes and frequency possibilities and why these routes would work
ADM is the local airport authority responsible for the management, operation and development of Montréal–Trudeau and Montréal–Mirabel international airports since 1992. The Montréal-Trudeau and Montréal-Mirabel airports are major centres of economic activity and help drive the development of Greater Montréal.
29 passenger carriers and 29 all-cargo companies connect Montréal to numerous airports around the world. In 2011, about 13.7 million passengers and 200,000 metric tons of cargo transited through the airport facilities of Montréal-Trudeau and Montréal-Mirabel. Some 250 businesses active on the airport sites generated a total of 60,000 jobs (including 31,600 direct jobs) and added value of $5.5 billion a year.
There are direct flights from Montréal-Trudeau to more than 130 regular and seasonal destinations in Canada, the U.S. and internationally.

Some facts on 2012:
- On June 26 2012, ADM inaugurated Phase I of its new check-in island counter.
- Qatar Airways celebrated the first anniversary of its Montréal–Doha route on June 29.
- Meanwhile, American Airlines celebrated 35 years at Montréal–Trudeau this year.
- On July 11 2012, US Airways inaugurated its Montréal–Washington Reagan National route, flying three times daily.
- Also on July 11, Delta inaugurated a new Montréal–New York La Guardia connection, with five daily flights.
- Already recognized as a world leader in self-service check-in, Montréal-Trudeau airport unveiled another North American first. ADM and WestJet introduced a new self-service baggage drop-off, meaning passengers can now go through the entire check-in process without any staff assistance
In 2011, the international sector accounted for 38.4% of total traffic and showed the highest growth at 7.7% last year. Another positive result was the transborder sector that has outperformed the domestic sector with stronger results.
Montréal-Trudeau (YUL) acts as a hub for domestic, transborder and international passenger’s traffic.
