Under-served freight opportunities and other economic impact factors

One of the most important targets of ISG is to develop an integrated cargo processing system, entering new markets for cargo traffic and to be a major regional cargo hub. As many industrial facilities are located around Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, ISG is creating a strong focus on the specific industrial cargos related to a hinterland of automotive, chemicals, ship building and repair and textiles. ISG’s unique cargo terminal offers five 7,000 square meters or warehousing equivalent to 90,000 tonnes annual capacity. These facilities include 18 cold storages separately-adjustable for and kind of goods. The wide cargo apron’s design is suitable for parking of 11 large fuselage aircraft.

Many major world-famous automotive, electronics, white goods and ship building companies are located and under production within only 1 hour distance from ISGIA.

Global freight forwarding companies have offices in the warehouses and with the easy and flexible customs services, ISGIA is targeting to be one of the major cargo hubs in the region.
